First introduced as Crown, the strongest Palace Warrior, he is quickly revealed to be a fellow deity who has infiltrated the Pope's circle while awaiting the restoration of the deities' glory.
However, late into the first two games, this turns out to be a charade. In reality, he is Jude, the former guardian animal and secretary to Aramute, the leader of Vavelia's Temple Lords. A long time ago, he was an Ancient Dragon given the powers of a deity by Aramute. He was faithful to his master, but eventually became disgruntled with his role and coveted more.
This greed caused him to conspire with the Pope and Regal, the lord of Shubeth Village in the neighboring continent of Derkarr. Together, the three initiated the Spring War, which kicks off the plot of the Witch Spring games.
Appearance[]
Like other deities, Jude has dark skin and long white hair. Ten years before the main story, he wore a long, light blue robe with a dark blue sash around his waist.
Some time during the war, he adopted the name Crown and rose to the rank of highest Warrior. In his disguise, he dons golden armor with a helmet to conceal his face and hide his status as a deity from his fellow Warriors.
Personality[]
Jude is egotistical and self-serving, manipulating those around him in an effort to gain more and more power. He was not always like that, but Aramute was aware that he would turn down that road and decided to use him as a lesson for others.
